Peter said to him, "Will you be crucified again, Lord?" And then our Lord disappeared from Peter, and all his thoughts returned to himself. He looked up and saw him ascending into heaven, and he did not grieve for his soul, and he re-
turned to the city, rejoicing and giving thanks to God. For he said, "If he is to be crucified, let me be the one who meets him," because he had previously told Peter while he was still in the flesh. He said to him, "When you were young, another would gird you and lead you where you did not wish to go." When he returned to the city, he told the brothers everything he had seen and heard from God, our Lord Jesus Christ, and everything He had said to him. When the brothers heard this, their souls were saddened, and they wept and groaned, saying, "We pray to you, Father Peter, that you teach us, because our faith is weak."
