Here in the non-dual doctrine, the Lord himself, through the majesty of his own freedom, makes the universe appear as if it were separate, even though it is not distinct from him, because its essence is merely an appearance. Thus, it is stated that his own freedom, which depends on nothing else, is the cause of the diversity of the universe.
