One should perform the chanting in the square where the first letter of one's own name falls.
Do not do it in another place, as it causes sorrow. (105)
One should perform the chanting until noon, either in a whisper or mentally.
One should eat Havishya pure food/offerings at night, bathing three times, and avoiding the use of oils on the body. (106)
One should avoid distractions, laziness, spitting, anger, stretching the feet,
And speaking foreign languages during the time of chanting; the wise person should abandon these. (107)
One should always avoid speaking with women and the low-caste, criticism, chewing betel, sleeping during the day,
Accepting gifts, dancing, singing, and deceitfulness. (108)
One should practice sleeping on the ground, celibacy, and worshipping the deity at the three times [of day].
One should rely on the occasional worship, praise of the deity, and faith. (109)
Every day, one should not be less or more in any way.
Having completed the chanting thus, one should perform the tenth part, the fire sacrifice (homa). (110)
With materials mentioned in the respective manuals, the procedure for that is declared.
The mantra-knower, having performed breath control (pranayama) and the six-limbed ritual with the root mantra, (111)
Should perform the four types of purification in a fire pit or on an altar.
With the root mantra and the looking mantra, sprinkle and strike with Kusha grass. (112)
With the Varma shield/armor mantra and a closed fist, sprinkle [water], then draw the Yantra mystical diagram within it.
It should consist of a fire-corner, a six-pointed star, an eight-petaled lotus, and a ground-temple. (113)
Having written the Maya Hrim enclosed by the Tara Om in the center, one should worship the seat.
From the Manduka tortoise/earth deity to the Paratattva supreme reality, [worship] the seat-powers starting with Jaya Victory. (114)
The text explains the method for determining the place for the lamp (and by extension the ritual space) by dividing the site into nine parts. The chant is to be performed in the square corresponding to the initiate's own name-letter to ensure success (104-105). It defines the rules for the 'Purashcharana' (preliminary ritual), including dietary restrictions, daily conduct, and the necessity of chanting until noon. It also briefly introduces the 'Homa' (fire sacrifice) procedure (111).
