The Tara Om, the heart, the Puraka filling, ending in the dative, is for the worship of the Brahma-mantra. (161)
Holding the ladle and spoon with both hands, one should heat them face down.
Holding them with the left hand, one should clean them with kusha grass held in the right. (162)
Having sprinkled them with prokshani water and heated them again as before,
One should place the three powers on them, using the grass used for cleaning. (163)
The powers are named Will, Knowledge, and Action, ending in the fourth case with Namah.
With the three long vowels, the moon, and 'Ha' at the beginning, in three places. (164)
One should place the power of Will on the ladle with the heart-mantra, and Shiva on the spoon. Then,
Wrapping them with three threads and worshipping them with flowers and other offerings, (165)
One should place them upon the kusha grass; this is called their purification.
One should pour the ghee into the ghee-pot, intended for the weapon. (166)
Purified by the rites of glancing and others, with the root-mantra,
Making it nectar with the Go-mudra cow-gesture, one should then perform the six purifications. (167)
One should place the coal found in the fire-pit into the northeast corner.
Heating with the heart-mantra is prescribed, using a pair of burning kusha grass blades. (168)
The practitioner should cast the ghee with the heart-mantra; this is the sanctification. (169)
One should purify the ghee with a lamp and a pair of kusha blades, along with the armor-mantra.
This is called illumination; place three burning kusha blades into the ghee. (170)
One should display the illumination with the weapon-mantra. Having taken the ghee-pot,
And having connected it to the fire, the wise one should touch the water with its coals. (171)
The eight perfections starting with Anima will be described later. The Brahma-mantra is "Om Namo Brahmane" (161). The purification of the implements (162-163). The three powers: "Hram Ichcha-shaktaye Namah" at the root, "Hrim Jnana-shaktaye Namah" in the middle, and "Hum Kriya-shaktaye Namah" at the tip (164-166).
