...with rice grains mixed with sesame, salt, and sweet substances, along with beautiful fruits and red lotuses, one should perform homa sacrificial fire ritual for three days. || 2 || Through this, from the learned brahmin downwards, all social classes original: "varna" come under one's control within a month. Meditating upon the Goddess who resides in the center of the solar disc, while chanting the mantra, one should perform the offering original: "huta" one hundred and eight times in the fire; by this, one gains control over the world. || 3 || In another Tantra: By sprinkling flower-infused water original: "pushpanjana" along with sandalwood and other substances, sanctified by the root mantra, upon whoever it is given, that person comes under one’s control. || 4 || Another: At night, writing the name of a desirable woman original: "snigdha-stri" on the center of the left thigh with turmeric, and holding it in the left hand while chanting one hundred or one thousand times, one attracts the beloved woman. || 5 || Thus ends the ritual of the sixty-syllable Trilokyamohana Gauri Mantra.
Another mantra in the Mantra Maharnava Great Ocean of Mantras: "Hraiṁ Hrauṁ, O Queen-faced one, O Ruler-faced one, O Control-faced one, Hrīṁ Shrīṁ, O Goddess, O Goddess, O Great Goddess, O Goddess of Gods, bring the faces of all people under my control, make them submissive, Svāhā." This is a forty-eight-syllable mantra. Its procedure: the rishi seer and other preliminaries are all as before. "Hraiṁ Hrauṁ, O Queen-faced one, O Ruler-faced one, salutations to the thumbs. 1. O Control-faced one, Hrīṁ Shrīṁ, salutations to the index fingers. 2. O Goddess, O Goddess, salutations to the middle fingers. 3. O Great Goddess, salutations to the ring fingers. 4. O Goddess of Gods, salutations to the little fingers. 5. O you who bring the faces of all people under my control, make them submissive, Svāhā, salutations to the palms and backs of the hands. 6." This is the hand consecration original: "karanyasa". In the same way, after performing the heart and other six-limbed consecrations original: "shadanganyasa", perform the meditation and worship as before. Once the mantra is perfected, the practitioner may perform the rites. As it is said: Thus, having perfected the mantra, the practitioner becomes capable of performing the rites. In place of all people, one should utter the name of the person to be brought under control. || 1 || In chanting, burnt offerings, and water oblations, and in the act of subjugation: || 2 || Offering ghee mixed with sampata the residue of an offering one thousand times for seven days; consuming this sampata-ghee makes the target submissive. || 3 || One should make a beautiful image of the target using the wood of their birth-star tree. 1. Meaning: In place of the term "all people" in the mantra, one should utter the name of the person to be controlled, such as "the face of Devadatta," etc. 2. Sampata is the residue of the offering placed in another vessel, and that which is mixed with it. 3. The tree associated with the target’s birth star should be used to make the image of the target. "After consecrating it with life-force, bury it in the courtyard or place it under ground. After offering one thousand times with red sandalwood and silent repetition original: "ajapa" flowers, remove it and bury it on the riverbank, and that person will become a servant." The birth-star trees as per the Sharadatilaka: Kāraskara, Dhātrī, Udumbara, Jambu, Khadira, Krishna, Vasha, Pallava, Nāga, Rohina, Palāsha, Shalla, Ambashtha, Bilva, Arjuna, Khadira, Kantaka, Bakula, Sarala, Khajūra, Vanjula, Panasa, Aksha, Shamī, Kadamba, Nimbā, Āmra, and Dhukā are the stars' trees.
