...This is the twenty-two-syllable mantra. Its procedure: Perform a fire offering (homa) with mustard and salt one thousand times daily; they are gripped by fever, no doubt. || 8 || Another: In the Virabhadroddigisha Tantra, the mantra is: "Hrim Nam Nim Nnim Num Nrum Nem Nnom Naum Nam Hum Hum Tha." This is a seventeen-syllable mantra. Its procedure: Empower a fourteen-finger peg of arka wood one thousand times with this, and bury it in the house of the person; they, along with their family, are gripped by fever. If removed, peace returns. || 9 || Another: On a Sunday with the Pushya constellation, take the root of colocynth, mix with dry ginger, pepper, and long pepper, grind in goat's milk to make pills. Offer incense to the pill, and throw it on the head of the enemy; they are gripped by fever. Bathing with sour gruel brings peace. || Another: The mantra is: "Om Chamunde, strike, strike, burn, burn, cook, cook, seize [Name], seize, Svaha." By performing a fire offering of bitter oil and neem leaves with this mantra, the enemy is gripped by fever. || Another: The mantra is: "Om Dandam Dindim Dum Dem Daim Daum Dandah, seize [Name], seize, Hum Hum Tha." Empower a human bone peg one thousand times with this mantra and cast it into a cremation fire; the enemy is tormented by fever and destroyed. || 10 || Now, the breaking of the rectum (padaccheda). The mantra: "Om, salutations to the Gandiya Bhairava, wrong hand, forehead, ghaghari, musk-liquor, wherever I send, go there, break the rectum of [Name], cause blood to flow in the rectum, if you do not cause it, go to the pit of Lona Chamari, fulfill the mantra, Phat Svaha." Its procedure: Offer one and a quarter seer of liquor, one and a quarter pav of black gram, and two paise worth of sesame to Bhairava, and recite the mantra five hundred times daily using a necklace of snake bones; blood will begin to flow from the enemy's anus. || 11 || Another: "Om, sun-colored, pure star, porcupine spine, lemon struck, star fallen from the sky, [Name], your foot is broken." This is a thirty-eight-syllable mantra. Do it this way: On a Sunday, Saturday, or Tuesday at midnight, sit naked with legs hanging into a well. Keep the face towards the woman's house. Hold a lemon in one hand, and a porcupine spine in the right hand. Look at the sky and keep reciting. When a star is about to fall, at that moment, pierce the spine into the lemon with the mantra, such that the spine is half-pierced into the lemon and does not go through.
