...O dweller of the mountain, accomplish all my works, O invincible one, obeisance, obeisance, Svaha. This is the sprinkling mantra. Again, during the Pushya star, having fasted, wearing clean clothes, and having controlled the senses, one should perform the nyasa ritual placement of mantras on the body with offerings of incense, lamps, and sacrifices.

Om, obeisance to the white heart, obeisance. Om, obeisance to the lotus-faced one, to the head, Svaha. Om, obeisance to the crest, filled with all knowledge, vashat. Om, obeisance to the armor, filled with all power, hum. Obeisance to the three eyes, vaushat. Om, obeisance to the weapon that shatters the mantras of others, phat. Obeisance to the whole body, at the end of the mantra. Having performed this nyasa, one should rub [the body/the image] with the root mantra. Om, obeisance to the goddess, the white-clad one, obeisance, obeisance, Svaha. One should perform a burnt offering (homa) of one-tenth [of the total repetitions] using sesame seeds, durva grass, and ghee. Having done this, and having extracted the gunja root, 16 perfect success is attained.

The root mixed with white sandalwood, when applied as a paste, becomes a means of subjugation. The root mixed with honey and applied acts as a means of subjugation everywhere. The root ground with water and white sandalwood, when applied as a tilaka, makes all the world submissive. The root, combined with equal parts of white mustard seeds and priyangu Callicarpa macrophylla, when powdered and sprinkled on someone's head, brings them under control. Om, obeisance to the one of the white lineage, bringer of submission for all people, bring the wicked under my control, bring them under my control, bring them to my control, Svaha. Success is attained with one hundred and eight recitations of these mentioned formulas. The root of vasa Justicia adhatoda, priyangu, kushtha Saussurea costus, ela cardamom, nagakesara Mesua ferrea, white mustard, and aguru incense is a universal subjugator. Om, obeisance to the lovely one, the lovely one, the daughter of Madhava. One should enchant incense with this mantra.
