"Kali, Tara, the Mahavidya Shodashi, Bhuvaneshwari.
Bhairavi, Chinnamastika, and also the wisdom of Dhumavati.
Bagala, the accomplished knowledge, Matangi, and the embodiment of Kamala.
These are known as the ten Mahavidyas, the accomplished paths of knowledge."
To say anything on the subject of the Mahavidyas is like showing a lamp to the sun, because it is extremely difficult to dress the infinite and vast in the clothing of short words. Nevertheless, through this small booklet, and according to the grace of Mother Jagadamba The World-Mother, I am writing about the Mahavidyas.
The only ultimate goal of all of us humans is the attainment of bliss and the enjoyment of happiness. Attaining this is the natural right of human life. This entire world is the place of origin for bliss, and bliss is our own place of origin. It is through the excess of bliss that the soul sustains life, and ultimately dissolves into the void.
After descending onto the path of this creation, we become attracted to sensory objects. Because of this, the stability of bliss does not remain in our consciousness. The reason for this is simply that the objects for which our mind melts do not themselves possess stability. This is why when the mind experiences a lack in one object, it moves toward another desire.
