Having uttered the five rays, and the two-syllabled word "sanghatta" collision/clash.

By merely speaking this, the spirit-deities are rendered unconscious.

Stupefied and trembling, they rise up in great agitation.

"Om sanghatta-sanghatta mritan jivaya svaha." By merely chanting this mantra, the spirits and deities become unconscious, stupefied, trembling, and agitated. (13)

Then Mahadeva spoke to that King again and again:

Apart from the Vajra-handed King of Wrath, there is no protector.

Thereafter, Mahadeva repeatedly said to the King of Wrath that there is no protector of the world other than the Vajra-handed King of Wrath. (14)

Then the thunderbolt-bearer said to Maheshvara: "Do not fear, do not fear."

"For the welfare of you and other gods, I will perform the suppression of spirits"

"In the Kali Yuga, for the people residing in Jambudvipa."

Then the Vajra-handed King of Wrath said to Mahadeva: "Do not fear, do not fear; for the sake of other gods, yourself, and the people residing in Jambudvipa, I will perform the suppression of spirits in the Kali Age." (15)

"Protect us," said the pramathas and the bands of apsaras celestial maidens again and again.

The nagini serpent-women and yaksha lovers bowed to the King of Wrath.

The attendant spirits, celestial maidens, serpent-women, and yaksha-women bowed to the King of Wrath and pleaded repeatedly: "Now, protect us." (16)

Then the hair-raising Bhairava, the wielder of the thunderbolt, spoke:

"O beautiful one! O Tripura! O Bhadrakali! O Bhairava-Chandika!"

"You shall serve the people who chant my mantra."

"You shall provide gold and desired food to the chanter."

Then the hair-raising, thunderbolt-wielding Bhairava said: "O beautiful one, Tripura, Bhadrakali, Bhairava-Chandika, you shall all serve the practitioners who chant my mantra and grant them gold and all desired foods." (17)

"We will grant it, O Lord of Gods! Certainly, to the chanter of the Wrathful One."

"We shall perform service and grant the requested wealth."

"If we do otherwise, we shall be destroyed, along with our families, O Lord!"

"We will perform all tasks and serve those who chant the Wrathful One."
