¶ French warriors will be led with anger, boldly and headlong into wars and engagements, craving victory. But afterwards, they will sometimes be deceived in these, and with certain things obtained, things moved afterwards will succeed badly for them. Nevertheless, with this, some very strong conflicts and some battles with much blood and mortality are to be expected.
¶ A great apparatus of fleets and an army of soldiers are moved on the waters from the west, turning great [force] against princes foreign to them.
¶ In our parts of the North and those veering toward the west, a war will be stirred up from the side of Italy on account of great incursions with force and great captures.
¶ Of princes in general and great women.
¶ A great prince or King will be able to be saved with difficulty from a great event or danger to his life, and if he will be saved, in our region he will be lesser.
¶ Certain princes will show generous modes with magnanimity: where they will attain fame from clear deeds and will have honors for their merits, especially those protected by Leo and the Sun.
¶ The Emperor or the greater King of the Christians will travel this year with his noble and powerful soldiers, evolving great things to great expeditions of state.
¶ A great prince will come into the enmity of many when he or those existing before him [commit] injuries done to them, or changes and purposes with avarice or importunity. On account of which, some of the great will be moved to discord or rebellion.
¶ The King of the parts of the west ought to fear lest he take poison or die: because he will incur danger.
¶ In the parts of the west, the King there, increased in virtue, power, and nobility, will be obscured with veneration in these parts of ours, and many notable powerful ones will obey him who will attempt to plot great crimes and high things. But very many of his inferiors and subjects will be ordered to be moved against this King with the adherence of certain powerful ones.
¶ A clear Queen or Royal woman will slip into the danger of death, and the plans of the princes and the unfortunate Queen will be [unfulfilled]. A great prince will truly bring the lion upon the great woman adhering to him, whence, if this generous woman avoids the crime, and another from high parents likewise, she may preserve her life.
