¶ The Januenses Genoese will be very angry and many will be troubled: but certain fearless and bold ones will emerge victorious at sea against enemies: and in deeds which they will undertake with impetus and great strengths: where certain distinguished and famous ones will rise in the fatherland, not without murmuring among them with sadness, anger, and the failure of hope.
¶ Regarding those things which pertain to the Roman See and the Cardinales Cardinals.
¶ A great King will protect the care of the church or the affairs of the Christian See: and the church itself, although agitated by whirlwinds, will stand with honor and will be observed by many great Principes Princes.
¶ Powerful men will move many whirlwinds and infestations in the place of the church and will oppress them after the present time.
¶ For the sake of defending religion or the affairs of the apostolic See, which are troubled by wars or oppressed, a new event of a whirlwind will be stirred up by powerful princes hereafter before these things begun are finished.
¶ Discord in the church or among prelates of great status will prevail after the present time: For there will be a division among the Cardinals: where certain princes will hold hands, and some other great princes will bear this troublingly and will be moved in mind: although without foundation: up to the removal of dignities among the Cardinals and the schism in these heads will be bad in the end: unless the rectors or protectors of the church then provide manfully.
¶ Many prelates of great status or Cardinals will adhere to the Pontiff: but some will not want to know him nor see him observed: but he will be adverse to them: the Pontiff will be angry with certain of his own and will be incensed against them: and will punish some afterwards: and many again of his house or familiars will suffer in safety and faculties.
¶ Let certain ecclesiastics of great status or Cardinals turn themselves away from the enmity of a King or the power or hands of a prince: for some will stand or move in the power or strengths of others.
¶ Let two distinguished Cardinals use provision for their safety if they intend to be saved from the case of death: and let the young Cardinal beware sufficiently of his life, and likewise the new Cardinal.
¶ The Romana Curia Roman Curia of prelates will be honored with these whirlwinds and dissensions, and great princes and many will observe it: However, regarding their diseases, they are comprehended under the general chapter: where all things are generally comprehended for all.
