A woodcut printer's mark for Jehan Petit. It features a central shield bearing the initials "IP" (for Iehan Petit), flanked by a lion on the left and a leopard or similar feline on the right. The shield is positioned in front of a tree. Two small figures (putti or wild men) are perched in the branches of the tree, one on each side. The entire scene is enclosed within a decorative rectangular border.
