And that there will not be wars among Christians will be said by proving it thus: because in the revolution of the world year, Mercury is lord of the year and falls in the ascendant in the house of fortune, namely in the sign of Pisces, which house is Jupiter’s, in which Mercury, lord of the year, is exiting in the same triplicity with Jupiter. And if Mercury himself, lord of the aforesaid year, is in his detriment, he is nevertheless received by Venus, the lesser fortune, from exaltation. And the Moon, corporally conjoined with Jupiter at the hour of the revolution, separating herself from Jupiter himself, the greater fortune, applies to the Sun with a benign aspect, namely a trine. Nor is Mars, the natural significator of wars, in an angle, but rather weak and in opposition to his own house. Also, the applications or even the progressions of the great conjunctions for the greater part do not indicate wars this year. That it was said, however, that in some cities of Italy there would be promotions of arms and homicides is proved. The same are also confirmed by the conjunction of Jupiter and Mars soon to be made in the month of August in the middle of the sky in the sign of Leo, which sign is for the house of contradiction in the figure of the revolution of the world year. The same is confirmed by the future conjunction of Saturn and Mars in the month of November to be made in the sign of Libra, where Mars signifies discord in both of the aforesaid conjunctions, if it will be eminent or elevated, not omitting the solar eclipse made in past years under the lordship of the misfortunes, which in this year will finish its greater effects. In which the superior planets were in squares, and Mars was then in the angle of contradiction, received by Saturn from exaltation; therefore, etc.

Eighth word: On the state of various peoples. And first of those of whom Saturn is significator.
