Prognostication for the Year 1472

in the month of November occurring with Saturn, and many other reasons which it would be too long to recount. And what was said concerning the victory of the Christians is said because of Jupiter and Mercury, the significators of our law, and other perfections of the conjunctions of the greater ones and their directions.

¶ Word 21. Concerning the most illustrious Duke of Milan.
To the Duke of Milan this year, Mars threatens an impediment from a hot illness; yet the benevolent stars will save him from any illness. A certain weakness will occur in the digestion, however, and the regimen will not be entirely good. Also, the stars indicate that he should conform to the will of the Venetians.

¶ Word 22. Concerning the Kingdom of Bohemia.
The kingdom of Bohemia this year, by reason of the stars, will be troubled by some lords in goods and revenues, and the people of those regions will suffer from sudden fevers and some pestilential things, and from ophthalmia, catarrh, and pleurisy, and many will suffer infirmity.

¶ Word 23. Concerning the Kingdom of Poland.
The illustrious kingdom of Poland will be quite fortunately gifted this year. For it will be a year full of gain, joy, and jubilation, and many journeys and changes if we foresee them. Let them know, however, how to guard their women from the intrigues and nonsense of lovers, which I consider very difficult. For this year will be one of many fornications and the sepulcher of both women and men.

¶ Word 24. Concerning the Kingdom of Hungary.
The kingdom of Hungary, as the stars openly show, will be involved in diverse evils and infirmities this year, with the deaths of its wealthy men and magnates. Its king, however, will be quite fortunate in war in the first part of the year and will put his enemies to flight. In the second part of the year, however, I see him unfortunate, such that he will mourn the death of some great person beloved to him.

¶ Word 25. Concerning the Kingdom of Spain.
In the parts of Spain this year, I see the greatest contrarieties of magnates and schisms, nor will they be entirely free from infections, indeed, in some of their parts, in addition to an abundance of diverse infirmities, manifest ones will be present. Their king, however, a very strong man, will assemble the council of many dukes or barons, from which quarrels and wars will be established for the future.

¶ Word 26. Concerning the parts of Germany.
The parts of the Germans will be greatly infested this year by hidden enemies, and some of the greater ones will be delivered to prisons. And they will receive impediments from Martial things or from matters signified by Mars. And there will be many and diverse infirmities in those parts, nor will they be secured from evil corruptions. For they have to fear submersion, shipwrecks, earthquakes, hail, and such like evil successes.

¶ Word 27. Concerning the parts of France.
The regions of the French will be troubled this year by various infirmities and perhaps pestilence, and those regions will be governed with difficulty and the greatest labor. For the people of that climate will fall into quarrels and have to suffer from internal discord, but they will by no means escape from a certain detriment and from a notable misfortune.

¶ Word 28. Concerning the state of certain famous cities of Italy. And first, concerning the city of Venice.
