Prognostication for the Year 1482

...noted, we believe his imperial majesty is to be gravely infirm and to be deprived or to suffer regarding his honor. And to his most dear one, a fall seems to happen, so that many amazed may come to see or hear the wonderful spectacles that will then be promulgated. We do not write the time limited for this, but it could happen in about the space of nearly two years, and sooner.

Chapter 9, concerning the King of France.

The most Christian King of the French in the present year will obtain losses of substance from the stars, and he will derive little or no benefit from the whole of his good expectation. And in the middle time he will be tormented by great passion. And also for him, the time of August will be adverse, in which he is about to dissipate no small wealth. For war will begin in two parts, and he intends to do much, and he thinks to reduce those cast out from his dominion to their former majesty.

Chapter 10, concerning King Ferdinand.

King Ferdinand this year will acquire a useful lordship for the sake of his friends. He will make a short journey with much happiness; nevertheless, some malicious snares are being prepared for him. Wherefore his most illustrious lordship becomes cautious especially in the months of July, August, and November, because these things have been briefly recited not without cause but for the safety of his majesty.

Chapter 11, concerning the Duke of Milan.

Hostile demonstrations are threatened against the Duke of Milan by powerful men of arms, but he is signified to be saved from the cause of noble friends, though with expenses and fear. Let his lordship fear, however, in the second part of the year especially, lest his dear one suffer a great loss; his lordship should not postpone these words, because if he neglects to remember them later, he could suffer.

Chapter 12, concerning the King of Spain.

The King of Spain, by reason of the stars, perseveres in honor, to whom also greater offices are decreed by the stars. And he will be intent on arms, and finally, he will be seen to fight happily with enemies this year.

Chapter 13, concerning the King of Hungary.

The stars signify for the King of Hungary an improvement of his status in war this year, and if it happens that he undertakes a journey, it will be with honor and with the benefit or profit of substance. I warn, however, that he should beware of animals, servants, and messengers.

Chapter 14, concerning the Great Turk and the heir of the Turk.

Last year we predicted the death of the Great Turk and the gain, military fall, and flight from the city of Otranto in Italy, and other things which we narrated in the judgment of that year and especially in that part of the Turks, have happened, as was clear to those reading that judgment. I would have wanted, however, to understand that the Christian soldiers had followed those treacherous and cursed ones, and that they had despoiled them of so many provinces, cities, castles...
