Prognostication for the Year 1500

indicates the same in autumn while existing retrograde in the twelfth house, a drought in the trees, and all its goodness is diminished and will grow into evil. Whence, without a doubt, this year will feel a scarcity of grain, wine, and oil, all of which are most especially confirmed by the opinion of Hermes in his Aphorisms, in the seventieth Aphorism, where he asserts that when Jupiter is in his own house or exaltation in the revolution of the year, is oriental, in an angle, and free from evils, it signifies a penury of grain, all of which most especially claims a place for itself this year. Since the same, in summer, is found in the angle of the midheaven in the image of Pisces, oriental, and views the sign of his exaltation with an amicable aspect, without evil aspects. Whence, from the opinion of Hermes, an infallible judgment seems to be rendered; let those places dedicated to Pisces, therefore, fear, such as the glorious city of Venice, according to some. May the Highest Moderator, who lives and reigns without end for ever and ever, deliver us from imminent evils. Amen.
