3 Severe trials surround me
Lord, I do not understand;
Lord give me strength,
In kindness remember me!

4 Sickness and anger are
Upon my body and my soul,
Give me patience, look after me,
And hear! remember me!

5 If shame and disgrace come
Before my face in this world,
I will face the disgrace,
If you remember me.

6 The time of death draws near,
I hand over my body;
The Savior takes my soul,
I rise, do you remember me.
