The first is GEOMETRICAL, concerning the origin and demonstrations of Regular Figures original: "Figurarum Regularium"; these are symmetrical shapes like squares or equilateral triangles, which constitute Harmonic Proportions.
The second is ARCHITECTURAL, or FROM SHAPED GEOMETRY, concerning the Congruence The way shapes fit together without gaps, like floor tilings of Regular Figures in a plane or a solid:
The third is properly HARMONIC, concerning the origin of Harmonic Proportions from Figures; and concerning the Nature and Differences of things pertaining to song or music, in opposition to the Ancients:
The fourth is METAPHYSICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, & ASTROLOGICAL, concerning the mental Essence of Harmonies and their types in the World; especially concerning the Harmony of rays descending from celestial bodies to the Earth, and its effect on Nature or the sublunary Earthly and Human Soul:
The fifth is ASTRONOMICAL & METAPHYSICAL, concerning the most perfect Harmonies of celestial motions, and the origin of Eccentricities from Harmonic proportions.
The Appendix contains a comparison of this Work with Book III of the Harmonics of the distinguished Ptolemy Claudius Ptolemy, the 2nd-century astronomer, and with the Harmonic speculations of Robert Fludd, called "the Oxford Physician," which were inserted in his work on the Macrocosm and Microcosm.
> NOW ADDED DUE TO THE KINSHIP OF THE SUBJECT is a book by the same Author published 23 years ago at Tübingen, titled The Forerunner, or The Cosmographic Mystery, concerning the causes of the Number of the Heavens, the Proportion and the Periodic motions [derived] from the five Regular Bodies Platonic Solids: the five symmetrical 3D shapes (tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, icosahedron) that Kepler believed dictated the spacing of the planets.
