Meanwhile, may Your Majesty see to it that I may appear [worthy], so that you do not close the way to this Harmony and blending? original: Commixtionemque; likely referring to the blending of musical and mathematical theory, and that you might show such affection and favor toward me as is granted to good men: in the contemplation of the Works of God Kepler viewed his astronomical work as a religious duty to uncover the "thoughts of God" through geometry and in Royal service, as far as your kingly occupations will allow: and by these examples, a Partner in splendor from the venerable works in Partnership; and it belongs to [your] children and whoever else: to be practiced: and whoever [is] mine, in every way and proportion. Your client and most dedicated servant.

At Linz Kepler moved to Linz in 1612 to work as the provincial mathematician, on the day before the Ides of February February 12th, in the Year of the Western Era 1619.
