If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

Why then do you not love these others, just as you yourself are loved by GOD? Do you say that I am unrefined and ignorant?? Were you not once far more unrefined? yourself? Am I needy and destitute of things original: "inops rerum." Referring to a lack of material possessions or physical resources.? Are you yourself not oppressed by a far greater poverty original: "inopia." In this context, it refers to a spiritual or existential lack that exists if one is separated from the divine. without your GOD?
Why, then, do you neither instruct nor help me—you who walk about endowed with so many gifts and benefits from GOD? Should I pursue you with hatred because of that grace original: "gratia." This refers to the divine favor or specific talents bestowed upon a person.? Far be it from me! For when I look into myself, I find you within my own self. Should I then judge myself worthy of greater glory than you? Not at all, brother, because I am in the very same state as you.
Why, then, should I carry myself so loftily? Rather, by striving for humility, I will try to despise all the vanity of glory. Is there anything in which we can truly boast, except in GOD, who loves us so greatly? Without Him, would we not be most miserable? Do not those who crave glory or honor in this world fall away from GOD, in whom alone is the fullness of all glory? On the other hand, do not those who delight in humility become partakers of both honor and riches, by GOD's indulgence?
