[Blank Page]
This page is another flyleaf, a blank sheet of paper or parchment. In historical bookbinding, several flyleaves were often included at the front and back of a volume to provide a buffer against moisture, dust, and the wear caused by the heavy covers. The faint marks visible are not intentional writing, but bleed-through (also called show-through), where ink from the writing on the other side of the page has seeped through the fibers over time.
