Why the alphabet was established.
A signifies: glory; minority In Llull's system, "minority" is one of the relative principles used to compare the scale or importance of subjects.; how and with whom; the instrumental; piety; and inconstancy. This alphabet, indeed, must be known by heart; for if not, the practitioner artista: a student or master of the Lullian "Art" will be unable to use this art or put it into practice.
The alphabet in this art exists so that through it the principles and questions of this art may be signified, along with those things contained within them, and so that the subject of inquiry may be brought forward, in order that the understanding may be true and certain, and not doubtful.
A circular diagram known as the 'First Figure' of the Lullian Art. It features a central letter 'A'—representing God or the Unity of the system—surrounded by three rings of text and a nine-pointed star connecting all segments. This star illustrates that every divine attribute is interconnected and convertible with every other.
