Concerning the two false Messiahs whom the Jews received after the passion of Christ, because the fixed time for the Messiah's coming had passed; and why they were so severely punished, first by Vespasian and Titus, and then by Hadrian.

The fifth reason, by which it is shown that the time of the first coming of the Messiah has already passed, taken from the punishment of the Israelite people: and that at the coming of the Messiah, the Jews were to be punished with a manifold penalty because of the death they would inflict upon him.

The objections of the younger Jews original: Iuniorum Iudæorum; referring to Jewish scholars of the post-Christian era that Jesus of Nazareth was not the Messiah, since the Messiah himself has not yet come.
Chapter I
To the first objection of the Jews: that the Messiah was to come at the end of days.

To the second objection of the Jews: that the Messiah has not yet come because the mountain of the house of the Lord has not yet been elevated above the mountains and hills A reference to the prophecy in Isaiah 2:2.

To the third objection of the Jews: that Jesus of Nazareth was not the Messiah because all nations have not flowed to him.
