These five levels are the five names of man: Nefeshthe vital or animal soul associated with physical action, Ruachthe spirit associated with emotions, Neshamahthe higher soul associated with intellect, Chayahthe living essence associated with wisdom, and Yechidahthe singular essence, the highest point of connection to the Divine. They correspond to the five worlds: Atzilut (Emanation), Beriyah (Creation), Yetzirah (Formation), Asiyah (Action), and the one world which is above them all, which is the secret of the Emanator, blessed be His name and His mention forever.
And behold, these five levels correspond to the five letters of the Name of Four LettersThe Tetragrammaton, Y-H-W-H in its "filled" form: Yud, He, Viv, Heoriginal: יוד הי ויו הי. This specific spelling, where the letters are themselves spelled out with the letter 'Yod', results in a numerical value of 72, known as the Name of AV. This name equals seventy-two, and it corresponds to the world of Atzilut. It is the secret of the "Soul of the Soul," which is called Yechidah, and it corresponds to the tip of the letter Yud.
And behold, these five levels are the secret of the five PartzufimDivine "Personas" or configurations of the Sefirot in Kabbalistic thought: Arich Anpin (The Long-Suffering/Macroprosopus), Abba (Father), Imma (Mother), Zeir Anpin (The Lesser Face/Microprosopus), and his Female.
