Die Gartenlaube

The woman is depicted in three-quarter view, wearing a white chemise and a dark bodice with a luxurious spotted lynx or leopard fur draped over her left shoulder. She wears a crown of laurel leaves in her dark hair and a single pearl earring, with her right hand resting near her breast. This 1891 print reproduces a painting from the Uffizi Gallery that was historically attributed to Raphael but is now ascribed to Sebastiano del Piombo.
