more ready to hear me than I am to desire and ask of You. I am to ask for that which You have already given me; I am to seek that which You have laid out for me; and I am to knock within myself so that I may realize how You are always waiting for me. If I open the door to You (Revelation 3 original: "Apoc. 3"), You will enter into me and eat the Supper original: "Abendmal", referring to the Lord's Supper or spiritual communion with me.

Chapter III.

That God is no respecter of persons, but rather shares and anticipates with His gifts all people alike without distinction.

In the third week, repeat the first and second contemplation every time, and begin to practice this third one in this way: before you say your Our Father original: "Vater Unser", say:

Oh Lord, I have learned that You know and hear all my need before I pray, therefore I do not need to awaken You, but rather myself. I have also learned how You command prayer and admonish, drive, and lure us all, and also promise a certain hearing. However, I do not know if You also wish to hear me, whether it also concerns me, or whether You also look upon me.
