The background parchment contains faint handwriting that appears to be bleed-through from the reverse side. It is largely illegible. A modern identification card has been affixed to the center of the page.
From the folio original: "E folio"A white rectangular card is pasted onto the manuscript page. It features the color emblem of the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica, the Library of Hermetic Philosophy. The emblem consists of a blue oval containing a Pelican in its Piety. This is a white pelican pecking its breast to feed its young with its blood, a symbol of self sacrifice. The pelican stands upon a white cube. This cube is decorated with three visible red roses. Above the pelican, a golden sun radiates light. Surrounding the central oval is a light colored border with the inscription Hermetic Philosophy, written in Latin as Philosophia Hermetica, in capital letters.
