One should restrain the Moon breath the left nostril flow during the night and the Sun breath the right nostril flow during the day. He who is constantly devoted to this practice is undoubtedly a true Yogi. || 66 ||
The Sun is bound by the Sun, and the Moon is bound by the Moon.
He who knows this practice brings the three worlds under his control in an instant. || 67 ||
The Sun is closed by the Sun's breath and the Moon by the Moon's breath; the person who understands this process masters the three worlds the physical, celestial, and lower realms in a single moment. || 67 ||
If the Sun rises through the path of the Moon and sets through the Sun,
then a multitude of virtues are gained; one should avoid the opposite. || 68 ||
If the Sun rises while the Moon breath is active and sets while the Sun breath is active, then a collection of many virtues is produced. If the opposite occurs, it should be avoided. || 68 ||
On the days of Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, and the Moon, the left channel
grants success in all undertakings, especially during the bright fortnight. || 69 ||
On the days of Thursday, Friday, Wednesday, and Monday, the left nostril Vamanadika: the Ida or lunar channel is the giver of success in all tasks. This is especially effective during the Shukla Paksha: the waxing phase of the moon. || 69 ||
On the days of the Sun, Mars, and Saturn, the right channel
should be remembered for active works, especially during the dark fortnight. || 70 ||
On the days of Sunday, Tuesday, and Saturday, one should utilize the right nostril Dakshinanadika: the Pingala or solar channel for "moving" or active tasks. This is particularly fruitful during the Krishna Paksha: the waning phase of the moon. || 70 ||
First the Air element flows, second the Fire,
third the Earth flows, and fourth the Water flows. || 71 ||
The text concludes by introducing the sequence of the five elements (Tattvas) within the breath.
