THE SACRED BOOKS OF THE JAINAS.
Kevalis are those Omniscient Supreme souls, who still occupy a highly refined physical body, but are free from the four destructive Ghātiya Karmas karmas that directly obscure the soul's natural qualities of knowledge, perception, bliss, and power, and whose "perfect" (Keval) knowledge is full, all-pervasive, and independent of senses, and comprehends all-at-once without effort, the whole manifested and unmanifested universe, with all its past and future modifications.
Shruta-Kevalis are those saints who have obtained perfect knowledge of all the Scriptures.
The Path and the fruit of the Path are described as two-fold in the teachings of the Conqueror.
original Prakrit: मग्गो मग्गफलंति य दुविहं जिणसासणे समक्खादं ।
The Path is the means to liberation, and its fruit is Nirvana. || 2 ||
original Prakrit: मग्गो मोक्खउवाओ तस्स फलं होइ णिव्वाणं ॥ २ ॥
The Path and the result of the Path: thus are the two kinds described in the teachings of the Jina.
original Sanskrit: मार्गो मार्गफलमिति द्विविधं जिनशासने समाख्यातम् ।
The Path is the means to liberation; its fruit is Nirvana. || 2 ||
original Sanskrit: मार्गो मोक्षोपायः तस्य फलं भवति निर्वाणम् ॥ २ ॥
2. In the Jaina Scriptures, the Path and the Fruit of the Path are described as the two parts. The means of liberation constitute the Path, and liberation is the Fruit.
Commentary.
The Path of Liberation is the combination of Right-belief, Right knowledge and Right-conduct, — the three jewels of Jainism. Following this path a soul reaches its ultimate goal, Nirvāṇa. Nirvāṇa is the condition of the soul when it is free from all karmic dirt and regains its own pure inherent nature. Then it is all-blissful, all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-lasting, having accomplished all that was to be accomplished.
That which must be done by necessity is the Rule: knowledge, perception, and conduct.
original Prakrit: णियमेण य जं कज्जं तण्णियमं णाणदंसणचरित्तं ।
To exclude the opposite, the word "Essence" has indeed been spoken. || 3 ||
original Prakrit: विवरीयपरिहरत्थं भणिदं खलु सारमिदि वयणं ॥ ३ ॥
That which is to be done as a rule is the Rule: knowledge, perception, and conduct.
original Sanskrit: नियमेन च यत्कार्यं स नियमो ज्ञानदर्शनचारित्रम् ।

3. What is in reality worth doing (is) Niyama the Rule or path, and that is belief, knowledge, conduct. In order to avoid deflection the word Sara the Essence has been particularly affixed to it.
Commentary.
The combination of Right belief, Right knowledge and Right conduct is the true Path of liberation. This is an eternal and
