Sutra of the Wheel of the Dedication of Merit

Medicines, elixirs of longevity, and all kinds of Mani jewels Mani: Miraculous jewels that grant wishes and radiate light, symbolizing the purity of the Buddha's teachings. which are capable of granting all sentient beings the peace and joy they seek. I offer naturally formed, beautiful, and superior foods and drinks, along with various fragrant trees of every kind: wonderful Sandalwood trees, Agaru trees original: "阿伽盧樹" (Agaru). Also known as aloeswood or oud, highly prized for its scent when burned., "sinking-water" red sandalwood A dense sandalwood so full of resin that it sinks in water., large-leafed Mahāpattra trees, Naga-puspa flowers, "drunken fragrance" trees, and all such varieties. These tree groves are filled with various wonderful melodies and fragrances.

I offer what is received from the various Wish-Granting Trees Kalpavriksha: Divine trees in Buddhist cosmology that produce anything one desires, from food to clothing. found within the Great Ocean, as well as the diverse Mani jewels and wish-granting gems found within the Great Mountains—Mount Meru The sacred mountain at the center of the Buddhist universe., Mount Jiyunsuo, the Fragrant Mountains, Mount Malaya, Mount Vindhya, Mount Mandara, and the Vajra Mountain. Within these Great Mountains are diverse jeweled peaks, jeweled terraces, jeweled grottoes, jeweled palaces, jeweled ornaments, and rows of jewels, along with pathways of many-jeweled stairs, pillars of Mani, wheels of jeweled lamps, and types of Mani such as lapis lazuli.

I offer all that exists in the celestial palaces of the Brahma Lords The high-ranking gods who rule over the primary heavens.: heavens filled with famous flowers that are pleasing and delightful to see, heavenly musical instruments that are moved by a gentle breeze as they dwell in the celestial palaces, sounding beautiful voices; heavens where beautiful sounds are naturally produced; and the various birds of the heavens that sing—

—wonderful voices within the celestial palaces. I offer the great, beautiful sounds emerging from various jeweled clouds, and the sounds of water from the masses of Mani. I offer the wonderful fragrant flower-trees, the "circling trees," the trees for ointments and incense, the banner-trees, and the jeweled trees. All these things, without exception, are fully prepared and offered to all the Buddhas.

In all the Buddha-fields Buddha-field: A pure realm or universe presided over by a Buddha. observed by the Buddha-eye The supreme spiritual vision of a Buddha, capable of seeing the true nature of all things across time and space., I offer great Clouds of Offerings:

• Clouds of flowers and clouds of fragrance
• Clouds of silk and clouds of burning incense
• Clouds of jeweled canopies and clouds of banners
• Clouds of jeweled flags and clouds of scrolls
• Clouds of transformations and clouds of ointments
• Clouds of jeweled garments and clouds of jeweled vessels
• Clouds of great Mani clusters and clouds of wonderful, large precious gems.

Furthermore, I offer fragrant oil filling great vessels in quantities equal to a thousand worlds, with lamp wicks as large as a hundred Mount Merus, to all the Buddhas, World-Honored Ones, and great Bodhisattvas...
