Military Preparedness Records (Wubei Zhi): Compiled in 1621 by Mao Yuanyi, this is the most extensive military encyclopedia in Chinese history. It consists of 240 volumes covering military theory, strategy, weapons, and geographical defense.

The title consists of three characters: "Wu" (Military/Martial), "Bei" (Preparation/Provision), and "Zhi" (Records/Treatise). Together, they denote a comprehensive guide to national defense and the arts of war.
