The cup-bearer kneels and approaches the right side of the Officiating Official. The Officiating Official receives the cup Jue: A three-legged ceremonial wine vessel.. The Herald original: 贊 (zan) calls out: "Offer the cup." The Officiating Official performs the initial offering of the cup and then hands it to the attendant original: 執事者 (zhishizhe), who places it before the spirit tablet.
The Herald calls out: "Draw out the tablet." Hu: The ceremonial slab held by officials. The Officiating Official draws out the tablet. The Herald calls out: "Prostrate. Rise. Stand upright." The Officiating Official prostrates, rises, and stands upright. The Herald calls out: "Return to position." The Officiating Official returns to his original position.
The Final Offering original: 終獻 (zhongxian) follows the same ritual procedures as the Second Offering original: 亞獻 (yaxian).
The Master of Ceremonies original: 通贊 (tongzan) calls out: "Drink the blessings and receive the sacrificial meat." Yinfu Shouzuo: A ritual where the officiant consumes wine and meat offered to the spirits to receive their grace and protection.
The attendants set the "Position for Drinking Blessings" in the center of the altar original: 壇 (tan), slightly to the north. An attendant first takes one leg of the sacrificial sheep from before the spirit tablet and places it upon a tray. The attendant then goes to the wine vessel, pours one cup of wine, and stands waiting at the right side of the Drinking Blessings position.
The Guide original: 贊引 (zanyin) leads the Officiating Official to the Drinking Blessings position. The Herald calls out: "Kneel. Tuck the tablet." The Officiating Official kneels and tucks his tablet into his waistband. The attendant, kneeling, presents the cup to the right side of the Officiating Official. The Officiating Official receives the cup. The Herald calls out: "Drink the wine of blessings." When the Officiating Official has finished drinking, he hands the empty cup to the attendant. The attendant kneels to receive the empty cup.
