A circular woodcut emblem framed by a laurel wreath. At the top, a radiant sunburst emits divine light and contains the Hebrew Tetragrammaton The four-letter divine name of God: יהוה. Below the light, several figures are gathered in a landscape in various attitudes of reverence or study. A ribbon banner at the base of the scene contains the Latin text: "I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness" original: "EGO JEHOVA VOCAVI TE IN IVST[ITIAM]"; a reference to Isaiah 42:6.
