4 and Abel original: "ած և հաբէլ" — note: the text begins with a fragment, likely referencing the offerings of Cain and Abel from the firstlings of his flock and from their fat portions: and God looked upon Abel and his offerings: 5 * but upon Cain and his sacrifices He did not look: and Cain was very saddened, and his face fell. 6 * And the Lord God said to Cain: Why are you saddened, 7 or why has your face fallen? * Is it not so that if you offer rightly, and do not divide rightly, you have sinned? Be silent, for his turning shall be to you, and you shall rule over him. 8 * And Cain said to Abel his brother: Come, let us go into the field: and it happened, as they went into the field there, Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. 9 * And the Lord God said to Cain: Where is Abel your brother? And he said: I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper? 10 * And God said: What have you done? The cry of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the earth: 11 * and now, cursed shall you be upon the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hands: 12 * for you shall work the earth, and it shall no longer give you its strength: wandering and trembling you shall be upon the earth. 13 * And Cain said to the Lord God: My punishment is greater than that I should be forgiven: 14 * if You cast me out this day from the face of the earth, and from Your face I shall be hidden: and I shall be wandering and trembling upon the earth: and it shall be that whoever finds me shall kill me. 15 * And the Lord God said to him: Not so. 1 And it happened as men began to multiply upon the earth, and daughters were born to them: * the sons of 2 God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful, and they took for themselves wives from all whom they chose: * And 3 the Lord God said: My spirit shall not remain in these men forever: because they are flesh: and their days shall be one hundred and twenty years: 4 * And giants were upon the earth in those days: and after that when
