the sons of God entered unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them: these were the giants who were famous men from ancient times. * And when the Lord God saw that the wickedness of men had multiplied upon the earth, and every person was thinking in his heart diligently upon evils all the days. 6 * And God regretted that He had made man upon the earth: and He was sorrowful in His heart: * and the Lord God said: I will blot out all flesh which I have made from the face of the earth, from man even to beast, and from creeping things even to the birds of the heavens: for I am angry that I made them. * But Noah found grace before the Lord God. 9 And these are the generations of Noah: Noah, a just and perfect man, was in his generation: and Noah was pleasing to God. 10 * And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, Japheth. 11 * And the earth was corrupted before God, and the earth was filled with injustice: * and the Lord God saw the earth, and it was corrupted: for all flesh had corrupted their ways upon the earth: * And the Lord God said to Noah: The time of all mankind has arrived before Me, for the earth is filled with injustice from them: and behold I will corrupt them and the earth: * Therefore, make for yourself an ark of square timbers, and you shall make rooms in the ark: and you shall coat it with pitch inside and outside: * And thus you shall make the ark: three hundred cubits the length of the ark, and fifty cubits the width, and thirty cubits the height: * You shall make the ark with a roof, and in one cubit you shall complete it from above: and you shall make the doors of the ark on the side: rooms below, and a middle room, and a third room you shall make in it: * And behold, I bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to corrupt all flesh in which is the breath of life from under the heavens: and everything that is upon the earth shall perish: * And I will establish My covenant with you: and you shall enter into the ark: you and your sons, and your wife, and the wives of your sons with you: * and from all beasts and from all wild animals and from all flesh: two by two of everything you shall bring into the ark with you, to nourish with yourself: they shall be male and female: * Of all birds according to their kind, and of all beasts according to their kind, and of all creeping things of the earth according to their kind: two by two of everything shall enter unto you to feed with you: male and female: * And you shall take for yourself from all foods which you shall eat, and you shall gather for yourself: and it shall be food for you and for them: * And Noah did everything which the Lord God commanded him: thus he did.

1 And the Lord God said to Noah: Enter you and all your house into the ark: for I have seen you just before Me in this generation: * and of all clean beasts you shall bring unto you seven seven, male and female: and of all beasts that are not clean, two by two, male and female: * and of birds of the heavens that are clean, seven seven, male and female: and of birds that are not clean, two by two, male and female: to raise seed upon all the earth: * And yet seven days, and I will bring rain upon the earth for forty days and forty nights: and I will blot out all substance which I made from the face of the earth: * And Noah did everything which the Lord God commanded him: * Noah was of six hundred years, and the flood of waters was upon the earth: * and Noah entered and

his sons, and his wife, and the wives of his sons with him into the ark, because of the waters of the flood: * And of the clean birds, and of the birds that were not clean: and of all creeping things that creep upon the earth, * two by two they entered unto Noah into the ark: rain, male and female, as the Lord God commanded him: * And it happened after seven days, and the waters of the flood were upon the earth: * In the six hundredth year of the life of Noah: in the seventh month: on the twenty-seventh day: and all the fountains of the deep burst forth: and the windows of the heavens were opened: * and there was rain upon the earth for forty days and forty nights: * In that day Noah entered: Shem, Ham, Japheth: sons of Noah, and the wife of Noah, and the three wives of his sons with him into the ark there: * They and all wild animals according to their kind, and all beasts according to their kind: and all creeping things moving upon the earth according to their kind: and all birds according to their kind: * they entered unto Noah into the ark there: two by two of all flesh in which is the breath of life: * and that which entered: male and female of all flesh entered, as God commanded Noah: And the Lord God closed the ark from the outside for him: And the flood was for forty days and forty nights upon the earth: and the waters multiplied and lifted the ark: and it rose from the earth: * and the water grew stronger and multiplied greatly upon the earth: and the ark floated upon the waters: * And the water became very, very severe upon the earth and covered all the high mountains that were under the heavens: * fifteen cubits did the water rise above: and it covered all the mountains: * And all living flesh died upon the earth: of birds and of beasts and of wild animals: and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all men: * and everything that had the breath of life in its nostrils: and everything that was upon the dry land died: * And all substance was blotted out that was upon the earth, from man even to beast: from creeping things even to birds of the heavens: and they were blotted out from the earth: and Noah alone remained, and those who were with him in the ark there: * and the water rose upon the earth for one hundred and fifty days:

1 And God remembered Noah and all the wild animals, and all the beasts, and all the birds that were with him in the ark there: and God brought a wind upon the earth, and the water stopped: * and the fountains of the deep were blocked, and the windows of the heavens: and the rain from the heavens was restrained: * and it went down gradually, the water went and subsided from the earth and the water decreased after one hundred and fifty days: * And the ark rested in the seventh month: on the twenty-seventh day of the month: on the mountains of Ararat: * and the water went and decreased until the tenth month: but in the eleventh month, which was the first day of the month: the heads of the mountains appeared: * And it happened after forty days, Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: * and sent out the raven, and it went out: and it did not return there until the water had dried from the earth: * And he sent out the dove after it, to see if the water had subsided from the face of the earth: * and the dove not finding a resting place for its feet: returned there to him into the ark: for the water still held all the face of the earth: and he stretched out his hand
