into infinity, they attempt to palliate and defend their error: namely, that the Mixture or Real Communication of the Deity with the Humanity does not exist in the Humanity by itself, which they are forced to concede even against their will: nor simply by Accident, but as if by accident, or in some other way I know not what, which nevertheless is inscrutable.

But I ask, what is this else: than some general evasion and cover not only for that error, devised a few years ago beyond and against all Scripture, and which even its own authors do not dare either to name or to explain: but also for many others who follow this?

Regarding the Deity, since it alone is an infinite Essence, as also regarding the person of Christ, it is truly and rightly asserted and believed: that it alone indeed fills all things, and is present to all things essentially and really, by its own infinity: and that in an ineffable and inscrutable way. Christ, as D. Augustine excellently teaches in Letter 57, is everywhere, through that which he is God: but in heaven
