Rhazes Opera Medica (Continent Liber)
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
The 'Opera Medica' (often referred to as the 'Continens' or 'Liber Continens') is a massive encyclopedic work by al-Razi. While specific, smaller treatises by al-Razi (such as 'On Smallpox and Measles') have been translated into English, there is no evidence of a complete English translation of the 'Opera Medica' (Continent) as compiled in the 1544 Basel edition. The work is widely recognized in medical history as a monumental Latin compilation that has not been rendered into English in its entirety.
