武備志(十七)
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
The 'Wubizhi' (Wu Pei Chih) is a massive 240-volume military encyclopedia compiled by Mao Yuanyi in 1621. While no complete English translation of the entire work exists, significant portions—particularly the nautical charts in the final volume (the 'Mao Kun map') and sections on gunpowder technology—have been translated and analyzed in scholarly works such as Joseph Needham's 'Science and Civilisation in China'. Catalog searches confirmed the absence of any published complete English translation.
