The 'Zhiwu Mingshi Tukao' is a massive 38-volume botanical treatise from 1848. While no complete English translation of the entire work exists, extensive excerpts and partial translations of specific plant entries have been published in authoritative scholarly works, most notably Emil Bretschneider's 'Botanicon Sinicum' (1882-1895).
