Only antiquated translations exist. This is the first modern English translation.
Thomas Willis's 'De Fermentatione' was translated into English by Samuel Pordage in the 17th century (published in 'The Remaining Medical Works', 1681). No modern scholarly English translation has been identified in current catalogs, making a new translation the first modern one.
