Notes et croquis: architecture civile, militaire et navale
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
The work is an English translation of the 1901 French thematic compilation 'Notes et croquis: Architecture civile, militaire et navale' published by Édouard Rouveyre, which reproduces folios from the Windsor Castle collection. While many of Leonardo's architectural notes are included in major English anthologies like Richter (1883) and MacCurdy (1938), this specific thematic compilation and its 'unpublished' (at the time) contents have not been published as a standalone English edition. Therefore, this represents the first complete English translation of this specific work.
