Theatrum Chemicum, Vol. IV
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
The 'Theatrum Chemicum' is a monumental multi-volume Latin anthology of alchemical texts. While individual treatises included in Volume IV (such as Michael Sendivogius's 'Novum Lumen Chymicum' and works by Michael Maier) have been translated into English separately, no complete English translation of the entire fourth volume exists. Extensive searches in scholarly catalogs and digital libraries yielded no results for a full-volume translation, confirming that this project represents the first complete English rendering of the collection as curated by Zetzner.

The Chemical Theatre, Vol. IV captures the desperate search for the Philosopher's Stone through the eyes of history's most dedicated alchemists. You will read the actual protocols for transmuting base metals into gold while learning why these masters hid their methods behind layers of code and moral allegory.
