武備志(五十八)
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
The 'Wubei Zhi' (武備志) is a massive 240-volume military encyclopedia from the Ming Dynasty. While no complete English translation of the entire work exists, several specific sections have been translated and published independently. Search results identified a translation of the 'Straight Sword' chapter by Jack Chen (2018). Other academic sources mention translations of the 'Mao Kun Map' and excerpts in Joseph Needham's 'Science and Civilisation in China'. No evidence was found for a previous translation of Volume 135 (Military Logistics and Provisions) specifically.
