The Eliot Indian Bible (1663) is a translation of the Christian Bible into the Massachusett (Wampanoag) language. While the work is based on English and original biblical languages, no complete English 'back-translation' of Eliot's specific Massachusett text has ever been published. Extensive excerpts and individual verses have been translated for linguistic study, most notably in James Hammond Trumbull's 'Natick Dictionary' (1903), and a bilingual edition of the Psalms was published in 1709, but the 1663 Bible as a whole remains untranslated into English.
