新編直指算法統宗 (Suanfa Tongzong: Systematic Treatise on Arithmetic) Vol 9
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
While the Suanfa Tongzong is a seminal work in Chinese mathematics and is frequently cited and excerpted in scholarly histories (such as Martzloff's 'A History of Chinese Mathematics'), no evidence of a complete, cover-to-cover English translation of the entire 17-volume work or specifically Volume 9 was found in the searched catalogs. The translation mentioned in the metadata (Lam Lay Yong, 2004) actually pertains to the Sun Zi Suan Jing, a different mathematical classic. Therefore, this appears to be the first complete translation of this specific volume/work.
