Bibliotheca Historica
Only antiquated translations exist. This is the first modern English translation.
The work is the Latin translation of Diodorus Siculus's 'Bibliotheca historica', most likely the version by Poggio Bracciolini (Books 1-5) which was the standard Latin text during the Renaissance. An English translation of this specific Latin text was made by John Skelton in the late 15th century (c. 1488), but it remained in manuscript until its scholarly publication by the Early English Text Society in 1956-57. No modern English translation of the Latin text has been published, as modern translations (such as the Loeb Classical Library) are made directly from the original Greek.
