Compendio de la historia natural y civil de Chile
Only antiquated translations exist. This is the first modern English translation.
The work 'Compendio de la historia natural y civil de Chile' by Giovanni Ignazio Molina was translated into English in the early 19th century (1808 and 1809). These translations, titled 'The Geographical, Natural and Civil History of Chili', are well-documented in the Internet Archive and library records. As these are early 19th-century translations, there is no evidence of a modern scholarly translation, making the existing versions 'first' or 'antiquated' translations.

Abate Molina sets out to prove that Chile is not merely a distant frontier, but the true garden of South America. He shreds European misconceptions about American nature and documents a land of immense biological and cultural intelligence.
