Marsilio Ficino Epistolae
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
Vat.lat.5953 is a manuscript codex containing three distinct works: Ficino's Philebus Commentary and his Latin translations of Hermias and Iamblichus. While Michael J.B. Allen published a complete English translation of the Philebus Commentary in 1975, the Latin versions of Hermias and Iamblichus have never been fully translated into English (only scholarly excerpts exist, such as in Allen's 1981 work). Existing English translations of Hermias and Iamblichus are based on the original Greek texts, not Ficino's specific Latin renderings, which constitute a distinct scholarly work.
