Theophrasti Eresii De Historia Plantarum Libri Decem
English translations of this work exist from another source language, but this specific text has never been translated.
Theophrastus' 'Historia Plantarum' is a work originally written in Greek. While there are well-known English translations of the Greek original (such as the Loeb Classical Library edition by Arthur Hort), there is no evidence of an English translation of the 1813 Latin edition edited by F. Wimmer. The existing English translations are from the Greek source, not the Latin translation.

Theophrastus teaches us to view the vegetable world through the lens of a biologist. This text serves as the origin of all western botanical thought by treating plants as living, breathing entities comparable to animals.
