Sepher Maphteah Shelomo
Anonymous
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
The 1914 edition by Hermann Gollancz is the first publication of the Hebrew manuscript 'Sepher Maphteah Shelomoh' and includes the first English translation of significant portions of the text. While Gollancz provided an extensive introduction and translated many prayers and sections, he noted that a full translation was a task for the future, and no evidence of a subsequent complete English translation of this specific Hebrew manuscript was found in the catalogs. Other 'Key of Solomon' translations, such as those by S. Liddell MacGregor Mathers, are derived from Latin and French manuscript traditions rather than this Hebrew source.

This manuscript acts as a forbidden bridge between ancient Hebrew mysticism and the practical mechanics of ceremonial magic. Readers will encounter a tradition that treats the invisible world as a landscape to be commanded, navigated, and secured through precise ritual action.
